TSAG was founded by a Total Rewards executive with 25+ years of experience across Fortune 500 companies, defense, healthcare, retail, and consumer industries — because the tools we needed didn't exist at a price that made sense.
TSAG didn't come from a boardroom or a VC pitch deck. It came from two decades of sitting in the chair — running compensation programs, pricing jobs, designing incentive plans, and explaining pay decisions to boards and business leaders.
Steven's career spans 25+ years across industries including healthcare staffing, defense & aerospace, global consumer products, retail, and supermarket operations. He's led total rewards functions for organizations with 55,000+ employees, managed executive compensation programs including proxy advisory work, and built compensation structures from scratch at companies going through rapid growth and transformation.
He's also a U.S. Air Force veteran with a B.S. in Mathematics. That combination of analytical rigor, discipline, and real-world business acumen across multiple Fortune 500 companies is what drives everything at TSAG.
The idea for TSAG was simple: the tools available to compensation professionals are either absurdly expensive or woefully inadequate. Mercer, WTW, and Aon charge six figures for job architecture engagements. Salary surveys cost $15K-$50K per year. Meanwhile, publicly available compensation data — SEC filings, government payroll records, BLS statistics — sits in silos that nobody has stitched together.
Until now.
